Suan
Sunandha Rajabhat University is situated
at 1 U-Thongnok rd., Dusit district. It is
located on a historical site that was once
a part of the Dusit Palace, the royal compound
of King Rama V. The King declared the place
to be the royal garden to relax during his
visit to the Palace and also a residence compound
for his consorts to reside in the future.
This beautiful garden landscape was later
named Suan Sunandha to commemorate one of
King Rama V's Queen Consorts: Sunanda Kumarirat.
In 2002 the university impressively obtained
the highest numbers of applicants : 50000
and the top five popular subjects are Communication
Arts, Business Administration, Tourism Industry,
Public Administration and Computer Science.
At present, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University
(SSRU) offers undergraduate program, graduate
program and doctoral degree to full-time and
part-time students as well as extension courses
at various centers.
